Once you plan and decide once and for all to quit smoking, you bring on some additional changes in your life style. Smoking is very bad and addictive habit which means that it is very difficult to quit. There are so many things you need to undertake in order to quit smoking.
One of the important things to help you in doing so is a regular exercise once you decide to quit. Try to set a new routine, such as a regular exercise and going to a fitness club. If this is not that easy then try to do something easy like early morning walk .You can also go for a short jog that will be very useful and effective way that you can start your day. Always remember that exercise does not really mean pumping metal.
If you don't have the time to stop by the fitness club everyday, then this is not a big issue you can always have some thing else to do at your place. Whether you choose to workout at home or at a gym, you should always remember that regularity is the important part of it. It is not going to start by its own but you need to make it a habit. It will prove to be difficult in the start but you will have to work things. Some people make a great start. They will purchase expensive track suits, gym wear, running shoes, and a lot of other gear, so their first day at the gym is almost like a fun filled day.
As the days pass, they find it very difficult to meet the demands and their routine will slow down a lot and finally come to a complete halt. One big mistake that several people make is choosing the time for exercise. If you choose evenings and it fit your lifestyle, then it's fine. But for many people however, the evening hours are when they are not suitable. By the evening most of us are drained, and simply too tired for exercise. Therefore, it is always important to get some time for exercise in the morning. In the morning, wake up an hour or so earlier, put on your shoes, and hit the track. At that time the roads are less crowded and less polluted as well, making it a peaceful and relaxing way to start the day. You should like wise replace coffee with tea. You can also redecorate your room by adding some new paintings.
Once you redecorate, you should get rid of everything that reminds you of smoking. Plan your day where you'll have something fun to do at the end of the day like spending time with family, playing games, or going for a walk with your family are all good activities. In fact avoid watching television. The reason is because television isn't something that demands a lot of attention. You can easily do something else while you are watching television. You should also make a list of things that build up your stress and try to avoid them. If it isn't possible, you should try to find out some ways to bust stress and use them. Whatever you do, you shouldn't use stress as an excuse to start smoking.
There are many other methods that you can use to beat stress. You can try breathing exercises, mediation, or even music. Find the things in your life style that triggers the habit. It can be some sweets or candies or food or driving. Try to avoid these things in the start and after some time you will get used to it. Smoking is a deadly activity which is mere decreasing ones life and income but if you really try hard this time then you may find ways to quit it. Just imagine your little kid having a pencil in his mouth and imitating you. This picture is alone enough to encourage you to quit this menace out of your life.
